UK WES 2016 Conference

On the 5th of September 2016 I travelled to Nottingham to attend the 12th UK Wind Engineering (WES 2016) conference. The event was held at the renowned University of Nottingham. Around 70 delegates, composed of research students and industry research members, were present representing countries from around the world. During the 3 days, presentations were delivered encompassing a wide range of subjects from mapping the North Sea wind field to studying the aerodynamics of ballast under trains.

The conference was unprecedented opportunity for me to showcase my personal research project “Modelling the airflow at the Clifton Suspension Bridge site” by the publishing a conference paper. I also presented a poster which regrouped the key aspects of my research and sparked the interest of other researchers present.

Here you can view my poster. If you wish to see the conference paper, please contact me.
